Our Basswood Dimensional Lumber is cut to exact sizes lists. These pieces are NOT nominal widths. These pieces are S4S machined milled (surfaced on all 4 sides cut to width and length).

Lengths: Sale of 2 feet required. * We can ship it in lengths up to 8 feet.

Basswood is very soft and lightweight. The coloring is uniform with pale white to light brown, it is difficult to distinguish between the sapwood and heartwood as they are not clearly defined, the boards have straight grain and minimal defects.

Basswood is Easy to work, being very soft and light. It glues and finishes well, but has poor steam bending and nail holding characteristics.
